Spring Semester was packed full of adventure! We have settled nicely into our new apartment and are loving the location, our awesome neighbors and landlord. I've also had a blast decorating and customizing to make our teeny-tiny apartment feel like home. Here's a little peak into it!

Our musical endeavors proved to be very fruitful this semester as well.
In addition to Nathan being accepted into Opera Viva! in Italy, he
performed stunningly in his senior recital. The attention to detail and
musicality in which he performed was amazing. It really showed off all
of his hard work. This is a clip of one of my favorite pieces by Poulenc. There are more videos on youtube if you search "Nathan Straub tenor."

We also performed in the WSU School of Music's production of Die Fledermaus (The
Bat) by Johann Strauss II. I had the privilege of performing the part
of Adele and Nathan was a wonderful (and intimidating!) Eisenstein. Our
cast was phenomenal and everybody worked so hard. The performances went
without a hitch and we such fun singing our hearts out! The following
week we went on choir tour through the West side of the state. We were
able to hear several talented high school choirs and we also performed
two concerts that were magical. April was busy!
Finally, after four long year of studying, practicing and performing Nathan has earned his Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance!! Hooray! He will be continuing his study's at WSU as a Graduate T.A. I will be finishing my Senior year this year and will be following with an accelerated Master's degree as well. This way we will both be finishing our degrees at the same time and we will be leaving with a cumulative of four degree between the two of us! Buckling down for a busy 2 year ahead!
